Ryan M. Albaugh, Esq.

Ryan M. Albaugh, Esq. has practiced law since 1999. He received his undergraduate education from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa (B.B.A., Finance, with Honors, 1996) and his law degree from Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco, California (J.D., with Distinction, 1999). He was admitted into the California Bar in 1999 (#202971) and the Florida Bar in 2005 (#11729). Following tenures as a criminal prosecutor and private trial attorney, he established The Albaugh Law Firm in St. Augustine, Florida.

Ryan focuses his practice on Criminal Defense and Family Law. With over 10 years of experience, Ryan has handled more than 1,000 criminal and family law cases, including over 50 trials. His experience prosecuting criminal matters ranging from simple misdemeanors to serious felonies has provided him with extensive knowledge of criminal law and insight into how the State Attorney pursues cases. Having practiced law on both sides of the table contributes greatly to his success in defending his clients in criminal proceedings. As a family law attorney Ryan understands the sensitive nature of these cases. His creativity and skill as a negotiator often leads to quick resolutions allowing his clients to move on with their lives. However, if settlement cannot be reached his experience as a trial attorney provides him with the background necessary to fight for his clients in court.

Cheryl A. McCray, Esq.

Attorney at Law

Cheryl A. McCray, Esq. has practiced law since 1984. She graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, WV (summa cum laude) in 1981. She earned her juris doctor degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in 1984. She was admitted into the West Virginia Bar in 1984, the Ohio Bar in 1985 and the Florida Bar in 2002.

Cheryl focuses her practice in Family Law and Personal Injury. With over 26 years of legal experience, Cheryl has handled countless cases and earned an impressive collection of legal accomplishments. Early in her career, Cheryl worked for law firms representing both Family Law and Personal Injury clients and later opened and operated her own practice with an emphasis on Family Law. While in West Virginia, Cheryl was appointed a Family Law Magistrate (a judicial officer hearing family law cases), a position she held for four years. She was later appointed by the governor of the State of West Virginia to serve as a member of the West Virginia Child Support Enforcement Commission for three years. Cheryl worked as a criminal prosecutor in the states of West Virginia and Ohio and for the past eight years she served locally as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seventh Judicial Circuit in St. Johns County, Florida.

Throughout her legal career, Cheryl has gained years of experience in trials and negotiations representing numerous clients in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury and Criminal Law. Her successful completion of 40-hour mediation training gives her special insight into the mediation process. Having worked as both an attorney and judicial officer, Cheryl has a unique awareness of courtroom procedures and successful litigation practices. With her extensive experience in Family Law, she is uniquely qualified both to undersand and assist clients in this difficult time in their lives.

Jessica A. Worman

Legal Assistant

Jessica joined the Albaugh Law Firm in 2009, after a career with a Midwest-based law firm specializing in criminal defense and family law. She attended Metropolitan Community College, Omaha, Nebraska in their ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program and Bellevue University, Jacksonville, Florida (B.A., Legal Studies, 2011).

Jessica is the Firm’s legal assistant and works closely with the attorneys on all cases, creating a team dynamic on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Katherine T. “K.T.” Albaugh

Business Manager

With an extensive background in finance, K.T. was instrumental in the establishment of the Albaugh Law Firm. She received her degree from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa (B.S., Finance, 1999). Prior to Albaugh Law, K.T. was a corporate officer with a regional bank in the San Francisco Bay Area.

K.T.’s responsibilities include handling all of the firm’s bookkeeping, invoicing, marketing, payroll and other human resources matters.
